If there is one element that is constant in business today it is “change”. As Charles Kettering once said, “The world hates change yet it is the only thing that has brought progress.” We have experienced recent changes at PAR North America on many fronts. As part of our changes, Rich Levene, formerly our national remarketing manager, has been assigned responsibilities as director of operations, and John Yarbrough, formerly operations, title and special projects manager, is now our director of client relations. Also, Kara Paciorek, financial controller, will now handle accounting functions for both ADESA and PAR. Additionally, Susan Gordon has been named executive director of sales. Based in Charlotte, N.C., Susan will report to Joe Mappes, our vice president of sales.
Rich started with us in November 2008 and has more than 15 years of remarketing experience on both the bank side and auction side of the business. As director of operations, he will oversee repossessions, remarketing and titles. Meanwhile, John, who has been on board since January 2001, will now handle all client relations, including communication and data collection with existing customers in his new role as director of client relations. As for Kara, she and her department will handle accounting functions for both ADESA and PAR. Kara will also oversee our analytics and QAC (quality assurance and compliance) team. Susan has been in the industry for over 15 years and is very well respected. She was born to be a salesperson!
Service and growth will continue to be top priorities for us at PAR North America. The strong team we currently have in place is key to meeting our objectives. Our senior management staff possesses the skills and experience to lead our organization, enhance daily operations and enrich the service we provide our customers. Our focus remains to bring customized solutions to financial institutions, banks and credit unions. We recently launched the PAR Platinum Plus Certified program and it has been a resounding success as it is bringing additional lift in vehicle retention for our customers. The dealers also like the program as they get a 7-day guarantee on their purchase. We continue to explore other services that will add value for our clients.
I am a proponent of the team concept and using the words we, us, and ours. Our management team continues to reinforce this model daily. We empower our employees to make decisions that are in the best interest of our clients and vendors. In fact, we recently held a contest to capture the spirit of our organization by having each department submit mission statements to define our culture at PAR North America. The winning mission statement that we adopted is listed below.
PAR's Mission is to provide value-based services that consistently
exceed our clients’ expectations. We will utilize the latest advances in
technology, while developing and nurturing lasting and mutually
successful relationships.
By creating a positive work environment and providing our employees
with the necessary resources for professional and personal growth,
our premium service will be delivered by an enthusiastic staff.
Without our clients, vendors, and employees, there is no PAR in
PARtnership!
Should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me directly. I am always readily available. My contact information is below. Thanks for being PARtners with us.
