
If there is one element that is constant in business today it is “change”. As Charles Kettering once said, “The world hates change yet it is the only thing that has brought progress.” We have experienced several changes at PAR North America on many fronts. We have brought on several key, well-respected industry veterans, instituted a management operating system to enhance our operational efficiencies to better serve our customers and have worked extremely hard to work in conjunction with our sister companies within KAR Auction Services. We also recognize that the 585 repossession agents in our network are paramount to our success and our Quality Assurance and Compliance team members work daily with our agents to ensure problems are minimized and positive relations are fostered.
Service and growth will continue to be top priorities for us at PAR North America. We added 30+ new clients in 2009 and we are off to a great start in 2010. Our senior management team possesses the necessary skills and experience to lead our organization, enhance daily operations and enrich the service we provide our customers. We are very selective as to whom we hire at PAR and we hold our employees and managers accountable to ensure our customers receive optimal service.
Our focus remains to bring customized solutions to financial institutions, banks and credit unions. We launched the PAR Platinum Plus Certified program last year and it has been a resounding success as it is bringing additional lift in vehicle retention for our customers. The dealers also like the program as they get a 7-day guarantee on their purchase. We continue to explore other services that will add value for our clients. Most recently we have added CVR (Computerized Vehicle Registration) to enhance our titles processing, DRN (Digital Recognition Network), along with 12 other resources, to assist our skip process, and lastly, we will have the overhaul of our current web portal completed and operational by August of 2010. Our already robust operating system will become even better.
We embrace the team concept at PAR North America and using the words “we”, “us”, and “ours”. Our management team continues to reinforce this model daily. We empower our employees to make decisions that are in the best interest of our clients and vendors. In fact, we held a contest last year to capture the spirit of our organization by having each department submit mission statements to define our culture at PAR North America. The winning mission statement that we adopted is listed below.
